When you link, connect, or log into the Educators Program with an account from a social networking service (such as Google Login), we will receive personal information about you, such as your name and email address, as permitted by your profile settings on the third-party service, in order to authenticate you. The information we receive when you authenticate through a third-party service depends on the settings, permissions and privacy policy controlled by that third-party service. You should always check the privacy settings and notices in the relevant third-party services to understand what data may be disclosed to us or shared with us
Automatic data collection:
We and our service providers may automatically log and store certain information about you, your computer or mobile device whenever you interact with the Educators Program, whether as an educator or as a student, though in certain cases, student accounts will be configured to block such data collection. This information may include your IP address, domain server, and type of Internet browser, information relating to how you interact with the Educators Program, such as the pages you view, the links you click, and how you engage with Brilliant lessons, completion status, and engagement metrics. This information helps us, among other things, analyze trends and administer the Educators Program.
The Educators Program is available to, and used by, students who are under the age of 16 only with the consent of their parent, guardian, educator, or school. Under the law, in certain circumstances educators or schools may act as the parent's agent for the purpose of consenting to the collection of students' personal information. We do not use personal information relating to students younger than 16 for any marketing or commercial purposes. We do not disclose (within the meaning of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) information relating to students younger than 16

Educators: If you are a student, your educator will be able to access information about how you engage with the lessons your educator has assigned through the Educators Program, such what lessons you have worked on, how long you have engaged with them, and how many lessons you have completed.
Service Providers and Agents: We employ other companies and contractors to perform tasks on our behalf (such as hosting, information technology, user support, email delivery, and website analytics services). Your information may be accessed by such providers/agents, in the event that we need to share your information with them to provide our services or support to you.
Business Transfers: In some cases, we may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, personal information is typically one of the business assets that are transferred. Moreover, if Brilliant, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Brilliant goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, personal information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Brilliant may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this Educators Program Privacy Statement.
